Sights of Japan

Our trip to Japan began with a long flight that spanned over 2 days once you took into account for the 14 hour time difference. We arrived in Japan sleep deprived for almost 26 hours but very excited. Here is our first international flight...let the Adventure begin. I created this layout for SNP's April Weekly Challenge 2: 4/5/15 - 4/11/15 and used the following kits; Retro Road Trip, True North Scraps (camera, stamp) Fresh Outlook, Triple J Designs (paper) Life's Journey, Gingerscraps (passport, planes, frame).

April...is it here already?

I am just back from my wonderful adventures in Japan so I am getting a late start in April. Of course I will be adding a few layouts of Japan once I get started but for now here is my new Siggy for the April challenge at SNP. I used Rolling Along by Ladybug Scraps to illustrate cycling as another passion of mine besides scrapbooking.

Gallery Stand Out this week!

This week over at Scrap N Pieces there was a weekly challenge to document a bucket list. Several years ago I did a "My Bucket List"...50 things to celebrate my 50th birthday in the hopes of completing 1 thing a year. Here it is almost 4 years later I haven't done a darn thing on my list. So this week at Scrap N Pieces the weekly challenge was to create a layout with your bucket list...so I dug back into my files and pulled up "My Bucket List" and scrapped it for a title page for the cute new book I bought in the hopes that it will renew my passion to start on my list. It took me several hours, years several...to complete it; fifty fonts is a lot to work with but it was done and posted. The next day I received a message from KatKreations, a member of the Praise team at SNP that she was featuring my layout in the Gallery Stand Outs (GSO). Of course I am always thrilled when my layouts are noticed but this time it has given me inspiration to move forward in following my dreams! I used a whole bunch of kits for this project but unfortunately did not record the fonts. Amy's Designs, Time To Ride Crescent Moon Designs, Handsome Gingerscraps, Life Journey Grace Blossoms4U, School's Inn Ladybug Scraps, Let The Magic Begin Magical Scraps Galore, Sailing Away True North Scraps, Retro Road Trip ScrapnPieces, British Isles Thanks for looking!

While here we are...February 1st already. I managed to complete 23 layouts/cards for Let's Scrap LOAD challenge...feeling accomplished. So for the month of February my goal is to complete my Iowa mini book. Who knew a small book would take so long to do?? Looking at tomorrow's forecast it is supposed to be mainly cloudy so I am hoping that the groundhog will not see his shadow so we can be done with this cold weather and get ready to welcome Spring. I am also counting down the days until I am off a new journey...destination, Japan in 50 short days!

As I say goodbye to another wonderful year, I welcome the new year! I have had a great year working towards my weight loss goals and am proud of my accomplishments. In 2015 I will continue to find my happy and healthy lifestyle as I live each day to the fullest. I start 2015 off with a P12 Challenge on SNP to remind myself of what I started and what exciting adventures lie ahead. I also have joined the Let's Scrap January load so I happy to say I am off to a great start with my first layout. May you all have peace and happiness in 2015!
